After many years of planning a trip to Namibia, here we are on our way to what used to be called South West Africa, and was previously a South African protectorate. Our travelling companions are Gavin and Antoinette Robertson and Lionel and Joan Marran, old friends of Gavin and Ant.

ReplyDeleteI found your grandfather as a very small boy visiting Transvaal House in Durness with his mother in April 1901, and knew that Charlotte and Sevrin had gone to live in SA. If my detective work is up to scratch, your grandfather passed away around 1973. Did he by any chance have a brother caled Hugh?
